As controller for Lay Design/Build, Shawna Mauldin is truly a “foundation” team member. Originally a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Cum Laude, she has established herself as a tactical process professional who can see behind all of the fine print. She brings a diverse skill set from working in client facing positions in education, retail and finance over the past seven years. Project Coordinator Bettyjo McCoy knows from experience that it is attention to detail that ensures a great completed product. It is that attention to detail that she brings to her duties creating and maintaining all of the project documentation and legal materials. For her, precision and anticipating the unexpected means that projects go as smoothly as possible.
Bettyjo developed that sixth sense in her previous career. As a training coordinator and instructor for 911 emergency call centers for 27 years, she knows what it takes to prepare her students minds to respond properly under fast developing, fluid situations. That can come in handy when you work in complex design/build construction projects.
Active? Absolutely. She’s married with two grown children and is an avid outdoors fan.
Design Coordinator / Office Manager
For Design Coordinator Ashley Malone, priority number one is defining and refining our clients’ vision of how they want their finished project to be. This means bringing her years of experience in real estate marketing and advertising along with years in design/build to bear so that the end product not only looks right, it is right with all city regulatory agencies as well. Design comes in many forms on a design/build project and Ashley deals with both interior and exterior aspects that bring the entire project to life. The phrase “ground up” is about the only way you can describe all of the phases of a project that she manages.
